Holiday Hair And Make-up!

As the holiday's approach, everyone is busy making plans to celebrate the yuletide with friends and family. This holiday season, make sure you look your best, especially at the work Christmas party or on a blind date. Make-up may be all smoke and mirrors but truly, it's just you, in color. The right make up and hair style can make you look more refreshed, younger and more fashionable, without having to take hours in front of the mirror. First and foremost know what colors look good on you. Stick to a cool palette if you have a blue or pink undertone to your skin and ash, black or gray hair with blue or blue green eyes. A cool palette of mauves, pinks, blues, blue greens and silver will look best on you. Choose a warm palette if you have a golden or yellow skin undertone and are a warm brunette, red head or golden blond with green yellow or rich brown eyes. A warm palette of red's, corals, orange, yellows, yellow greens and gold will look best on you. When in doubt stick to neutrals, browns, grays and rich earth tones which won't show as "color" against the skin but as a shade or intensity. For an easy, natural "boy approved look", start with a tinted moisturizer which offers a light amount of coverage, moisturizer and sunblock all in one. Mask-like foundation just won't do if you're planning on getting up close and personal. Wear a fresh rosy color on the cheeks and a kiss proof lipstick or tinted lip balm. Keep eyes subdued with a light, stay in place shimmery shadow in a soft brown and finish up with a coat of waterproof mascara. Waterproof mascara is a great option for a date because it stays put, doesn't flake and won't run. Don't get too trendy with your make-up, only the girls will be impressed by a tri-colored, false lashed peeper and a perfectly applied pout. When it comes to a mane of luxurious locks, make your's smell great with a fresh smelling shampoo and conditioner. Stick to one line of products so you don't overwhelm your mate's olfactory senses. Some hair care lines even have a spray scent or shine spray you can add to your locks the day after washing to keep them looking and smelling fresh. On a date, keep your hair swept off the face (ponytail, or half-up half-down) to resist playing or fidgeting with your hair when nervous. Don't overuse product, a stiff, teased and greased coif will deflect attention rather then attract it. Show some skin and make sure to be well moisturized. Choose a moisturizer with a hint of shimmer and a light pleasing scent. As a last primping step, brush your teeth!
