Abitare il tempo - International home decorating event in Verona
The home living trade fair is celebrating its twentieth
anniversary with reflection on the decorative vocabulary used in
the domestic landscapes of the third millennium.
The home decorating trade fair held in Verona has been telling
the story of the home for twenty years now. This anniversary
marks the beginning of a new stage in the life cycle of a
quality trade fair which combines cultural and creative aspects
with more strictly commercial aims, and has helped contribute to
the culture of design over the years. Exhibitions, debates,
trade surveys and a packed calendar of events held in parallel
to the trade fair itself testify to the reflection on the past
and plans for the future of a prominent event on the
international furniture and design scene.
Initiatives planned to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of
Abitare il Tempo include:
"100 volti 100 progetti": 100 installations by 100 authors, all
artists, architects and creative artists who have worked with
the fair in past years, asked to express their point of view on
ways of decorating the home. Presented by Carlo Amadori, Vanni
Pasca and Luca Scacchetti. "Galleria degli Exempla": an
exhibition comparing prototypes of the past with modern
re-releases, presented by Carlo Amadori, Vanni Pasca and Luca
Scacchetti.
The event also incorporates the fourth edition of the Abitare il
Tempo Award and the second edition of "Architetture d'interni":
in a setting free of constraints, eight architects with
different approaches to design exhibit eight feasible concepts
of modern living, sources of inspiration for the public
attending the trade fair, drawing on the best furniture and
design of our times.
