We have all heard of Mad Cow disease; BSE. It is a scary thing indeed. Some of us even stopped eating beef and meat for a while. That maybe quite extreme; but those who had stopped eating meat for a while understand it is quite a serious issue indeed. How serious? Lately ranchers, the National Beef Association and the USDA have all been looking at using new radio frequency identification tags to track the beef from birth to slaughterhouse to market. The new RFID Tags are becoming less expensive and this might prove to be quite a solution to tracking our meat supply and preventing another small outbreak of BSE or Mad Cow Disease. At first this seemed like a pipe dream as RFID Technology was in its infancy, but the technology is moving along rapidly due to the millions of dollars of R and D funds put into advancing this technology.

We will soon see every cargo container, cow, pallet, resident alien, pedophile, even soldier tracked by use of these Radio Frequency Identification Tags. RFID technologies are here to stay and they will be used to keep Mad Cow Disease or BSE at Bay! Think about it.
