We have already this early in the year the first case of West Nile Virus. A resident in Kansas turned up with it. The CDC confirmed and announced it. This could be a tough season for West Nile indeed. But guess who is taking the most notice? China; as a matter of fact this little case is all over the Chinese Propaganda Circuit; but why? Well, the WHO- World Health Organizations and other first world countries are worried that China has not come clean on the severe outbreak of Bird Flu in their South Western Province.

The want everyone to know that there are diseases too in the United States, much worse as they are saying. This makes them look like they have everything under control as they work countless hours to come up with a vaccine and even volunteer villagers to do human trials for them; so much for human guinea pigs? If you will remember recently the world also got after China for not coming clean on the SARS issue too. Today China has a huge AIDS problem as well. Their water supplies are at risk due to population and fast growing industrial pollution.

The West Nile Virus case is only one, yes it is early in the season, but not unexpected the CDC is completely ready for it and is tracking the spread each year as it moves slowly thru all 48 states. Each year the West Nile Virus will wreak more havoc and the mosquito populations will have to be dealt with until we can figure out how to prevent our little stinger friends from being the virus vector. It is too bad that something as series as West Nile, SARS and Bird Flu become a political football used in trade negotiations and treaties. We are all on this planet together and we need each others help to solve these issues which threaten all of humanity. Think about it.
