10 Internet Business Tips

I have just realized that I rarely share tips with my readers so I will make my article slightly exceptional today from my usual ones. I have gathered these useful tips I practiced myself (they bring results to me after all) to share with you. Some of them may not be original, but does it matter? As long as they work! Ready?

[1] Firstly, you must have a passion for your product or the thing you are doing for business. Enthusiasm shows and thus increases your sales! You would not go far without this. I personally think that this tip is one of the most important tips discussed here.

[2] Reply to all questions as early as possible, preferably as soon as you receive them in your inbox. Believe me that those who reply the quickest are those who are most passionate about their business. They take you seriously and since you are an Internet Business owner yourself, are you not serious about your business? If you ask me, I usually reply my Internet Business queries within 24 hours.

[3] You can give away a free E-book on a subject you are an expert in. I have found it raises your credibility and also sales. The free E-book can be a sample of your selling E-book, special report or something that suggests that your other selling product provides the solution to your potential customers. If done correctly, the free E-book can be marketed virally and you leverage on the efforts of other people!

[4] Create mini-sites with their own sales letters for each product you sell rather than stuff them all in your hub web site. Search engines help to sell your product through higher positioning. In addition to that, it is less confusing to potential customers thus saving them the trouble to look for what they want at your web site.

[7] Focus. This is yet another important tip you should practice. This has especially got to do with the theme of your Internet Business. If you Internet Business is about web designing, then let it be all about web designing. You can provide HTML and Photoshop tutorials, sell packaged templates, and even offer web designing services for a fee.

[8] Always create back-end selling for products or services you sell upfront. The truth is that you can only make so much money from sales. The reason you go into business is because you want to earn residual income, something you cannot achieve at a regular job. I have also found it easier to sell to my existing customers because I have already built trust and relationship with them.

[9] Business is about knowing people rather than knowing something. In business, whether online or offline, it is who you know that counts, not what you know. So, look for great active Internet Business or Marketing forums to participate in. Make friends with people from around the world. Who knows, you might make some sales (without spamming forums of course), get the latest news, review information products and keep a copy of it before it even gets released, or seek Joint Ventures in the process.

[10] Last but not least, if you cannot spend another cent on paid advertising, there is always the last resort you can use: use bartering to get free advertising. Sounds absurd? Well, I did this before and it saved me a lot of time, effort and money! Use bartering as the main means of obtaining advertising for our products and services. This can keep your advertising overhead to a minimum. For example, I traded a product with resell rights together with a one year paid membership to a web site for free advertising of my other point-and-click service which I am an affiliate for.

Hope these tips help!
