Why Communities Must Develop Bio-Security Plans

We cannot rely on government to protect us from a Bio-Terrorist Attack. They have proven that they cannot protect us from attack and cannot do it alone. They will need the help of each and every American to help prevent an attack and then need our assistance if, God forbid one occurs. Communities are well advised to have their own Bio-Security Plan in place and be ready to work with first responders.

Rather than to rely solely on government to handle such a crisis, volunteer efforts from the community are employed to create a seamless network of volunteerism, ready to drop everything and react in a definite defense strategy. By spreading out the workload to include both the private and public sector we create a similar situation to the concept of a volunteer Fire Department, only on a much bigger scale. This reduces necessary resources to allotted for the possibility of an event, which may never happen without risking too few resources in the case it does occur.
