My Experience With Traffic Exchange Programs
Traffic exchange programs are a good way to bring in inexpensive
and sometimes free traffic to your site. Over the years I have
used several programs to keep a steady flow of traffic to my
free classifieds site when the advertising budget was low. It
became obvious though that those using traffic exchange programs
were mostly businesses trying to get you to join or buy their
products and people surfing to just earn credits. So that is why
traffic exchanges might not be a good choice for receiving
fresh-targeted traffic.
These programs are excellent however for those businesses that
cater to other businesses; a good example is my free classifieds
site. If you have an idea or sell a product that other
businesses can use to better promote their product or services
than traffic exchanges are perfect for you. Most sites are free
and offer affiliate programs that reward your promotion efforts
with a percentage of your downline's click credits and will pay
a commission when someone upgrades their account.
My approach was to build my downline quickly by advertising on
my site and advertising in search engines for each program I
joined. By doing this I now get enough free credits from my
downline to where I do not have to surf or buy credits at all.
In the beginning of your campaign you may need to buy credits to
get the ball rolling and the good news about that is most clicks
to your site usually only cost about $.03 cents.
For more information on traffic exchange programs just do a
search, you will find many good programs to test out.
Just remember that most are free to join, which will enable you
to give them a good test drive before you spend any money.
