Working from home DOES involve work!

Lately I have been visiting some of the sites dedicated to making money online. One of the things that stroke me is how one of the main headlines used to attract people into different business opportunities is "Have you failed at other businesses? Try this one! It will surely deliver what it promises!" - or several variations of it. And I just stopped for a minute to think about it (which, I have to confess, doesn't happen too often). Excluding the so called opportunities that are nothing but scams from the very beginning, there are some pretty good ones out there. And yet, a lot of people don't make it. Why is that? Well, from my own experience, one of the biggest problems is that there is a big misconception about working from home, especially online (and this is one big black spot on the face of some of the most notorious online opportunities). An unbelievable number of people get the idea that working online does not involve any actual "work". Have you seen all the ads, headlines and promotional pages of different opportunities saying things like "Make this much money in this period of time, and ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is this and this!" Now, it's completely true that such an ad does not say you don't have to work. But, by saying that "all you have to do" has a great psychological impact on the human mind. It makes it imagine there is no, or almost no work involved. And let's face it! Who wouldn't like some money for doing nothing? I know I would! After you join such businesses, you realize there actually is work involved. And to tell you the truth, at the beginning, quite a lot! Indeed, once you have set up your business and put it on autopilot, which is the beauty of working online, you can start relaxing and taking vacations. But until that time comes, be prepared to work your you know what off. Why would one want to say such things when actually I should be telling you how wonderful working online is, how profitable it is, how much money you could be making working just a few hours a day. Well, I am saying all that! ONLY, I am also saying that working online INVOLVES "WORKING". And, especially if you are at the beginning of your online ventures, you cannot ignore this aspect. As a matter of fact I don't want to lie to you. You can! But, doing so, will not bring you any closer to experiencing for yourself the beauty of working online from the comfort of your home On contraire! It will only bring you to disappointment! It will make you hate (yes, you can get that far) and distrust anything that has to do with working online. And the result of all these: you not fulfilling your dreams of becoming financially independent. How can you overcome all these, though? First of all, you must understand that being your own boss does involve work. Am I repeating myself? Yes! But only to make you understand how things work. Second most important thing is to get your mind prepared for what you are going to see in the world of online business. Make it understand that not everything you read is true, or that it is not all there is to it. Learn how to read between the lines. Then, find a business you can join. It is not the topic of this article to help you find a business. The Internet is full of them. And, by reading between the lines, it should not be hard for you to find the right one for you. Now that you have done all these, it is time for you to sit down and work. Follow the instructions and advice you are given. Plan to work and work the plan. Heard this before? Whether you did or not, if you stick around you are going to read it over and over again. Why? Because those who have found success online understood that following this rule or not can make the difference between success and failure. And, since some people's business is helping others become successful online, it is impossible for them not to say a word about such a golden rule. So, once again, plan to work and work the plan! One more thing to say before I let you work. Some people might not find the logic in me saying this after all the effort I have put in trying to make you understand that you have to work. Nonetheless I am going to say that, given the multilateral negative implications it may have on you, overworking yourself is not a good idea. It can get you sick and tired, sometimes even literally; it can estrange you from your family and friends making them become very reluctant to the idea of you continuing to do this; it can "kill" your social life and many many more. Make sure you set some limits for yourself. O.K. Time to get some work done! By the way, reading articles like this (in other words, educating yourself) is an important part of the work you should be doing.
