Be Of Good Cheer

When the storms and trials of life come your wayAnd you can barely keep the hellhounds at bayYou have no help from your neighbors or friendsLook to Jesus for in your troubles help he sends

Paul almost perished in that great storm on the seaWhen the Lord said to him be of good cheer it is mePaul trusted and had faith in the Lord and his planNone on the wrecked ship were lost, not even a man

Satan tries to destroy and hinder God's workAround God's children he does lurkBut prayer to the Lord has much powerCauses the enemy to withdraw and to cower

So I say unto you be of good cheerTrust in the Lord because he is ever nearHe will give you peace and wonderful graceAnd strength and endurance to run the race

Hold on to Jesus' loving powerful handHe will lead you on to the promised landWhen the enemy comes in like a floodRemember you are covered by his blood
