7 Great Motivators When You Feel Like Giving Up

1. Change Your Approach.

Step out of your point of view and look at things objectively. It will help you gain a new perspective. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is not productive. When something isn't working out the way you'd like, look at an alternative way of accomplishing it. Ask others for input and ideas.
"The best way to have a good idea is to have lots of ideas." -Linus Pauling

2. Step Away From the Situation

Have you ever been so frustrated by your lack of results from a project you put so much time into? Well, maybe that was the problem. When you spend too much time trying to force an outcome, you end up questioning your abilities and doubting yourself. Take a break from the challenge or obstacle that is blocking you. Don't try to dominate or overpower it.
"Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success." -Brian Adams

3. Be Still

You can't begin to be creative when your mind is muddled with so much mind chatter. Quiet your mind so that you can get the answer that you need. Just take a few minutes to clear your mind.
"An inability to stay quiet is one of the conspicuous failings of mankind." -Walter Bagehot

4. Keep Your Enthusiasm

Don't lose the energy and spirit that you need to keep you going. Start each day with a positive outlook. Find the time to put fun back into your life. Be excited about the possibilities in your life.
"Success is going from failure to failure without a loss of enthusiasm." -Winston Churchill

5. Use Your Imagination

Remember when you were a child and you thought you could be anything you wanted to in the world. The possibilities were limitless and you didn't let anyone interfere with your dreams. It's too bad that we become more logical as we become adults and let go of our imagination. Starting today, see yourself accomplishing your your big goals and imagine how your life will be, once you you've accomplished them.
"The man who has no imagination has no wings."-Muhammad Ali

6. Write Out Your Dreams/Goals.

Soring your dreams and goals in your mind, doesn't turn them into real action. When you write out what you want in life, you breathe life into your words. Write out exactly what you are striving for until it becomes real to you.
"Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living." -Anais Nin

7. Faith

Faith is the greatest motivator of all times, without it you can get nowhere, with it you can turn your trials into triumphs. It's easy to lose faith when you are faced with struggles, but having faith helps you to make the leap from defeated to determined.
"Walking your talk is a great way to motivate yourself. No one likes to live a lie. Be honest with yourself, and you will find the motivation to do what you advise others to do."-Vince Poscente
