Hurricane Creation Via High Energy Airborne Laser

Few could doubt that we need to spend money on ways to kill Hurricanes. And if we find these Hurricanes are no match for mankind, then we need to find a way to steer them away from key cities, infrastructures, and unprepared island villagers. A large Hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico can be safely steered around in circles until a colder air front comes along and diminishes it. Additionally by using high-energy airborne lasers we can break the Hurricane apart dividing it to conquer.

I propose we use an airborne laser to create a Hurricane and then use this to study the formation, building and eventual collapse of Hurricanes. In doing this I propose a place in the Atlantic Ocean half way between Virginia and Europe as the storm will not survive long in the open cold ocean once created. Once created, I propose to study these Hurricanes and attempt to steer them. If we can learn how to steer Hurricanes, we can keep them from hitting major cities.

For the United States Navy I propose we study the Hurricanes as a way to sink a ship of an enemy coming to attack us. In the practicing and steering of these Hurricanes via high energy airborne laser we can practice using the weather to take out a dam, levy, bridge, power system, enemy military base, damage a vessel or attack ground targets.

By using chemical lasers we can heat up the sea surface to steer these Hurricanes or Typhoons. We should be funding weather research on Hurricanes to prevent another New Orleans event, while using this knowledge as a defensive weapon to protect our people. Think on this.
