Part 7 of 10 of "What is Life?" is the Admonition Seven of Lao Mu and this is what she said:
The spaceless golden lock, the spaceless pagoda, the spaceless key opens this lock. The priceless true treasure shines bright after the enlightened teacher's guidance gives grace that has no equal.
Lao Mu is afraid that her royal children will suffer in the great catastrophe, hurry cultivate virtue and devote to the missions. He who comprehends Lao Mu mercifulness and is grateful to the enlightened teacher is truly a virtuous person. The graciousness of the guidance from the enlightened teacher is so great that you cannot repay by even sacrificing your life. You should constantly keep in your heart that the grace is as heavy as the mountain and as deep as the sea.
Without receiving the guidance from the enlightened teacher you cannot avoid and escape the sufferings and cannot transcend birth, death and rebirth. Salvation to ancestors and blessing for the descendants rely purely on the enlightened teacher, so all of you should repay this great grace by following the arrangement of the enlightened teacher. If practitioners violate and not follow the orders they will suffer and their ancestors will equally be affected similarly. Learn to be gentle and kind, respectful, thrifty, humble and have pleasant countenance.
Fulfill the Tao of Mankind, unite with the Tao of Heaven and follow the moral principles to restore the true self or soul. Learn to be loyal and trustworthy, act accordingly to benevolence and justice and hurry to establish these great virtues. Do not distinguish who is virtuous and who is slow. Do not differentiate male and female, the poor and the rich, right or wrong. A leader must have so broad a mind that it encompasses mountains and oceans. A real man must be flexible, tolerant and patient and never complain when crossing mountains and waters and endure the bad weather elements. Be cautious when hearing of praises, be happy when hearing of criticism and correct whatever is not good. Able to do all these, one can be acclaimed as a virtuous person who stands with Heaven.
Juniors must respect the seniors and all should have the same heart and be harmonious. Seniors must guide the juniors with a generous heart. Now the time is critical so all must work with extra diligence. These words are as precious as gold and solid as rocks, so do not let Lao Mu repeat.
Men are not saints so who can avoid mistakes? It is most important to correct the wrongs. He who knows his sins and still does not repent cannot return to Heaven. If one accumulates merits first but sin later, all merits will not be counted. If one sins first but accumulates merits later, merits can offset sins. If one corrects previous wrongs and then accumulates merits, all his merits will be recorded. If one has a lot of sins and few merits, he will be cast into the great catastrophe. Merits in Heaven are counted in this way so he who repents and corrects wrongs before accumulating merits is a true pillar of Heaven.
Nowadays it is very easy to practise Tao as compared to ancient times. You need not suffer great difficulties or disasters although you run laboriously back and forth. When the time comes, the wise, the fool and the sage will be separated automatically.
By maintaining your hearts and cultivating your true selves, your Bodhi flower will blossom. Without the tests by the devil with comforts or hardships, you cannot become Buddhas. Although the wicked is strong and the good is weak, the time for the Final Judgement has come and all evils will be swept away. Ever since the ancient time, practitioners of Tao must be tested by the devil. Without a solid foundation, how can one be qualified to sit in a Lotus Seat of a thousand lotus leaves? Those who are not blessed have unstable hearts and even if they receive Tao, their hearts will retreat and they cannot return to Heaven. Think about the Saints of the great religions when they were teaching people and establishing religions. They suffered tremendously and yet they returned to Heaven and are worshipped ever since. For three thousand years till now, they have been respected by both human and Heaven, how glorious they are.
Now is the time to bring salvation to the three worlds, that is Earth, underworld and the spiritual world and Tao of Heaven is available to all. Thirty-six hundred will stand dinified in the "White Yang" Temple and forty-eight thousand will return to Heaven and receive offerings and worship on Earth. The most precious factor is to practise sincerely and for those who advance will become Sages, and for those who fulfill will be Saints. They will bring honors to their ancestors and blessing to their descendants and their virtues will be established forever.
