The Principles of Success - Take Breaks

"Your power is proportional to your ability to relax." - David Allen, Getting Things Done You have to take breaks. Take a few every day, take one or two a year. If you don't take breaks there is a better chance of you getting fed up with what you are trying to accomplish. Getting fed up is something you don't want to do. If you get fed up, there will be less of a chance of you coming back to whatever it is you are trying to get done. You really want to return to the task with the best attitude possible, you'll get more done. Next time you find yourself getting fed up with something you're working on, instead of trying to force yourself to get it done and out of the way, take a break, it does wonders. Not only will you find yourself in a better state of mind, you're going to find yourself producing higher quality work as well. Consider taking up a hobby that you think you'll enjoy. I prefer kayaking. If I ever get worked up over something I just pack up my kayak, hop in my truck, and find a nice serene body of water to paddle in. It's very relaxing. I love it so much that I even made a website for it, check it out if you don't believe me, www.kayakforlife.com.
