Medication for depression works slowly and gradually over a period of several months. However with correct medicine, most affected people experience good results within a month; but with psychotherapy alone, it often takes a long time. Early detection and medication is probably the most important parameter in depression treatment. Depression must be treated at any cost, as soon as it is detected and diagnosed. Otherwise, depression may relapse again, with more severity and intensity.
