How Tiffany Stained Glass Lamps Are Made

Genuine Tiffany style lamps are stained glass lamps that are completely made by hand. Each piece of stained glass is cut out by hand then carefully wrapped in a copper foil frame or sometimes a zinc frame and soldered to the frame of the adjacent piece of glass. This process continues until the entire shade project is completed one glass piece at a time. There are no short cuts or machinery other than simple hand tools. - Jim Hoyle
