Catnip: A Stomach Soother
When many of us think of catnip, we conjure up images of cats
playing with catnip filled toys or cats wallowing on the floor
in a pile of dried leaves. However, it isn't just good for cats.
A perennial herb of the mint family, catnip usually grows to be
about 3-5 feet high. From June to September, it flowers in
radiant white with purple spots.
Catnip tea can be used to combat upset stomach, colic, spasms,
flatulency, acid and chronic bronchitis.
Catnip Tea Recipe
Spoon one tablespoon of dried catnip into a mug. Add one cup of
boiling water and let steep before drinking. Take 1 to 2 times
daily for maximum effect.
