An Empowering Alternative

If there was one thing I could share with you to help you along in your success journey, it would be this ... As far as what you are doing now for your business growth; Are you doing THINGS right?, Or, Are you doing the RIGHT things?

What if what you are doing, you are doing it VERY WELL, however, there is no possible way that the direction your activity is taking you in will eventually lead you to your ultimate goals and highest aspirations?

When I left the military in 1991 and became an entrepreneur, I named my business Dream Machine Enterprises. This right brained concept was developed based on my understanding to diversify and utilize leveraged business models, namely ... Real Estate, the Stock Market and owning my own Business (that is three - 3 in all). I also conceived of the idea that if someone was willing to learn from me, I could teach them how to achieve their dreams, like a step-by-step, connect-the-dots, one-day-at-a-time process. If they did what I said, it would work. If all the steps were not followed in the way I suggested, it would not work.

Today, I have balanced my life and feel comfortable sharing my knowledge and experience along the same lines as my original Dream Machine concept.

The Dream Machine process is kindled by the operation of Visualization whenever you need to be motivated. For this a Dream Board works great. It is fortified by Written Affirmations you read out loud while you view the Dream Board ... something like "I Am Going For My Dreams."

Visualization and Affirmation begin the process. They are autosuggestion to your subconscious mind. Soon the motivation becomes overwhelming -- As you literally fall in love with your dream.

Love, the sincere desire, when it is focused by dreams, values, and a plan you can clearly see, becomes faith.

Your faith grows into boundless self confidence, as it links with additional plans and ideas arising from your stimulated subconscious mind facing obstacles; until it becomes persistence and dogged determination, propelling you forward, overcoming each obstacle -- and finally your dreams are realized.

This motivation does not occur one step at a time.

It actually occurs instantaneously, almost as soon as you begin -- as long as you begin, and faithfully utilize your "Visualization / Affirmation" tools. In this way, you have started a process which becomes a Dream Machine, linking your internal power with your external actions.

Your dreams, and your daily performance, become one.

I received the above information about six months prior to leaving the military back in 1990, when I put the TV on at 9am Saturday morning after waking up from sleeping on my friends couch the morning after a rock and roll bar hangover stupor. On the TV I watched a Guru of Get Rich TV on an infomercial, grabbed my American Express card, took a whimsical chance and called the 800# and spent $295 on the spot. At the time, I knew that I would not have a job (didn't want a job) and was scared about the direction my life would move in. I didn't have a clue what to do and the TV Host was someone I could *Be* like (I Wanted to be like - he was very cool). It was like a spiritual connection :-) He was cool dude!

Now, it's been over two (2) years since I first printed out (for free off the internet) Conversations with... The Greatest Networker in the World, John Milton Fogg and I have one chapter left to read (I am a slow reader).

In the chapter *By Design and On Purpose,* we have The Greatest Network in the World hosting a Network Marketing seminar and getting into the definition of the word *Belief.*

"If your definition of belief has to do with you *knowing* for a fact that your Life Purpose *will happen*... that, in no uncertain terms, you'll be able to pull it off... that the Life Purpose you came up with here today is *who you are* and how your life *will be* from now on... that it's *the truth* -- you're between a rock and a hard place right now, because *you cannot know that."

"And if you can never know," he asked, "how can you ever *believe?* And if you cannot believe in yourself, in something, in anything, then how will you ever succeed?"

He paused, looking at us with that intense, yet expressionless gaze of his, then continued.

"May I offer you an empowering alternative?" he asked, but not really.

"What if belief did not require your *knowing anything?*"

He paused, silent.

"What if belief had nothing to do with *the truth?*"

He paused again.

"What if," he asked us with more than a hint of challenge in his voice, "what if all you had to do to have all the power and the passion of 100 percent, unshakable, totally committed belief... was simply *love?*"

"Yes, you heard me correctly: *Love.*"

He continued, with a deep breath, "It is my opinion that what the word *belief* really means is to *be love.*"

"*Be* means to be - obviously. And *leif* comes from *leubh,* which means love. So one definition of belief you could adopt is that belief means to 'be love' - to *believe* something you would simply *be in love* with it.

"What that would mean," he said, "is in order to believe in your dreams and goals you don't have to know without a doubt they will happen. You just have to be *in love* with the idea."

"Have you ever heard someone say they believed in another person?" he asked. "Do you think that could simply be because they loved them? I am in love with my Life Purpose. My Life Purpose *is* who I am. I direct and empower people to live in love with excellence. That is my mission, my dream, my vision, my purpose, my passion and the source of my personal power."

"When I first began," he told us, "I did not believe - with the other meaning of the word - that I could actually live it, *be* that Life Purpose. I doubted I was good enough. But I knew I could be *in love* with the idea. That was *easy.*"

"My friends," he said, getting off his chair and walking to the very front of the stage, "you don't need to know for a fact that you will accomplish your goals in order to love them - in order to be the way people are *being* when they are *in love* with life.

"Can you believe in - be in love with - your dreams?"

"Can you believe in - be in love with - your aspirations?"

"Can you believe in - be in love with - your Life Purpose?"

"Can you believe in - be in love with - your industry, Network Marketing?"

"Can you believe in - be in love with - your opportunity, your company, your products?"

"Can you believe in - be in love with - *each other?*"

He stood silently, looking from face to face throughout the audience. Then with a grin that quickly became that marvelous smile of his, he added "And can you believe, as in *be in love with...*" he said, looking down at his watch, "that I'm out of time?"

The final chapter is called *What's Next... ?*

So PLEASE, nobody tell me how the book ends!!
