of complex writing that noone understands or wants to read.

Most writers write for an imaginary teacher they are
trying to impress, but never can. Instead, they should write
for an imaginary reader, someone who isn't all that fussy,
someone just like them!

sense of civic responsibility. If the authors of these
textbooks were to write a version of their book in layman's
language, then their book could be made available to many
more readers.

It is a common myth to believe that a bestseller is a book
that has been listed on a Top Ten Bestsellers List.
Technically, these books are "newly-released" books.
A true bestseller is a book that becomes popular and
stays popular for a long time.

FAME & FORTUNE

Bestsellers are the ones that sell millions of copies. This
makes them more profitable than traditional books.

Writing a bestseller is a one-time effort that can make an
author famous overnight.

TO PUBLISH OR NOT TO PUBLISH

With the popularity of ebooks, authors no longer have
to rely on publishing companies to publish their books.
They can do it themselves. It is easy to sell an ebook
online or have a service sell it for you.

Even if your intentions are not to publish your bestseller
book, you can still enjoy the satisfaction of writing one.
