Feng Shui and the Use of Crystals to Empower Your Life

It is amazing to me that one little object - a crystal - could have such power and versatility according to Feng Shui. Perhaps this could be because crystals are the ultimate symbol of the Earth Element and have also been used for centuries for their healing and energizing properties by people from many cultures.

For Feng Shui purposes, crystals can be used for a variety of reasons. One of the most important reasons is because they are said to balance the flow of chi (energy) in your home. This balancing of chi will improve your total well being, health, relationships with others and your prosperity. Bottom line is that they are said to bring overall harmony into your life if hung in an area that will catch and reflect the sunlight. For this purpose, the best places for crystals would be where they can have light on them for as many hours of the day as possible. They work great in the South corner of your home/room for bringing good chi into the home. They are also well placed in the eastern part of your home for protection. If you want to enhance your marital or romantic relationships, place a crystal in your Romance sector, and if you need help with finances, hang one in your Wealth Sector.

Another important use of crystals is for their cures. Crystals are said to dispel shar chi (negative energy) brought on by various situations that might be present in your home. The practice of using crystals is one of the most widely used by Feng Shui practitioners. Some examples of these "bad luck" situations would be: overhead beams, two or three doors in line with each other, staircases that come down to your front door and poison arrows, just to name a few. In these cases, hanging a crystal from the ceiling directly in front of the "problem" will help dispel and/or slow down the shar chi.

Crystals are also said to "center" you and to help you concentrate and increase creativity. I have personally experienced the power of the crystals in my business. I have a 30mm crystal hanging in the East window, which is directly in front of my desk in my office. While I have always been artistic and creative, I have noticed a distinctive difference in my flow of creativity and ability to concentrate since placing the crystal there. What I am about to say may sound very strange, but if you have ever experienced it, you will know exactly what I am talking about.

I can be sitting at my desk working on something like my web site, and all of a sudden I will have several "thoughts or ideas" hit me out of the blue. Sometimes they are related to what I am working on and at other times they are completely off the subject. They are most usually pertaining to my businesses and to helping others - which has always been very important to me. Sometimes I have so many "ideas" coming into my head at once, that I have learned to write them down as they come through so I can remember them and explore them later. (HEY - it is an over 40 yr. old thing I am sure - because I forget things very quickly! LOL)

For instance, this is how I got the ideas on designing my crafted Feng Shui items and to start my own line of Essential Oils. Believe me, I have never in my life "dreamed" of doing anything like that! And, to be quite honest with you, I am sometimes fearful of these "creative ideas" that I get because I am afraid that no one else will think it is such a good idea! So far, (fingers crossed) each creative thought that I have acted upon has ended up turning out great. However, sometimes - like with the Essential Oils - I have to really ponder and think about the feasibility of following through - and get feedback from others to see what they think.

Crystal Tips:

Increase the amount of light and therefore the flow of chi in your Wealth Sector by hanging a crystal in a window.

If you want to attract someone in your life to help and to mentor you, hang a crystal in the Mentors Sector. For a lot of people this can also mean spiritual help.

The center of the pakua is considered your good luck sector. It is also referred to as the spiritual center, soul center and happiness area. Having crystal objects in this area - especially a crystal chandelier will activate this area and reflect the positive chi throughout your home.

If you have a stairway going up from your front door, hang a crystal from the ceiling above the bottom step. It is said that chi will be attracted to the crystal instead of to the staircase which is know to be shar chi.

If your kitchen is visible from the front door, hang a crystal, pair of flutes or a wind chime in front of the kitchen entrance.

Placing a crystal in the window of your office is said to creative chi that will help you with your thought processes and creativity.

Soak your crystals in sea salt water for 7 days and nights to wash off any negative energy. It is also recommended that you do this a few times a year. You can purchase sea salt from a health food store.

If you have a split level home and your living room is on the lower level, you can hang a crystal in the center of the living room to promote the upward mobility of the chi to flow into the rest of your home.

If you have a long hallway in your home with several doors along it, hang a crystal in the hallway to invite the chi to come down the hallway.
