The best way to lower gasoline and diesel prices is to do what Maria is doing. You see Maria is voting with her dollar. If everyone did that, the problem will be solved. Some say that the Oil Companies are manipulating supply, well then the consumer has a lever too then, it is called demand. If you and everyone is concerned with fuel prices, then buy less of it and then the demand will be less and the supply greater and the price lower; you see?

What is a good price for full economic vitality? Well we need prices back to $1.35 for diesel for our transportation sector and to prevent artificial inflation, but that will not happen now. We must work to get them there. We must find new sources closer to home, build more refineries, pipelines and invest.

These prices are tough on many businesses in all sectors and that means jobs, lay offs, foreclosures, small business failures and downturn in the business cycle. But we may all be to blame for our lack of ability to control the lawsuits, junk science and run-away hypocrisy or environmental activism.
