Diving along the Pangani Coast

Pangani is a jewel of a town set amongst ancient coconut plantations on the mouth of the lazy Pangani River. Pangani is opposite Zanzibar. It is not so commercialized as Zanzibar and probably is everything Zanzibar was a few years ago. Pangani is a paradise; the perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries.

This lovely area is not overcrowded with hotels or tourists. There is plethora of history in this old Arab port. It is closer and more accessible to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Kilimanjaro than is its more famous neighbor Zanzibar. It is also less expensive to get there and lodges tend to be more reasonable priced. The beaches are safe and the local community friendly.

The one draw back in the past has been the lack of diving. This is now a thing of the past as Emayani Beach has just announced they now have a diving centre. As a ground operator organizing safaris from Arusha this is a stunning piece of news. I will now be recommending to all my clients to go to this beautiful town.

If to learn to scuba dive is a dream of yours then here in Pangani is the perfect setting to learn. There are two highly experienced European trainers with the latest scuba gear. There is also some of the best unspoiled diving close by; this area has had few divers in the past and this makes for some very special diving.

Whether you are a novice or are an experienced diver at Emayani there is everything you need. Diving is sensibly priced and training at all levels if offered with the boats and gear to ensure a top quality experience.

Explore the unique underwater world of the Indian Ocean. Dive Pangani's clear unspoiled waters and see a whole range of fish and colorful unspoiled coral reefs. Enjoy the peaceful silence with an amazing sea life around you.
