What Do You Want in Life?

"What do you want in life?"

How often do you ask yourself this question? Do you ever ask yourself this question? Why is it that we'll sacrifice our time, energy and happiness for another's well being, but we won't put that same energy into our own happiness. Have you forgotten over the years what truly makes you happy, what little things bring you joy? Sometimes we end up living a life we thought others wanted us to live, instead of a life we were meant to live. Are you going through the motions, just for the sake of 'getting by'? That is fine as long as you understand by doing so you will continue to get the same results. That being a life where you are going along for the ride instead of choosing which ride you want to go on. Are you ready to live your life, to embrace the "little moments" that bring you joy? All you need is the desire, commitment and drive to take control of your life again.

ACTION TIPS FOR THE WEEK:

1. Create a list

The first thing you need to do is brainstorm a list of everything and anything that brings you joy. What would you love to incorporate into your life? What do you want more of in your life? This is your life, so commit to living a life embracing what you truly enjoy and feel passionate about.

2. What changes need to be made?

In order to create what you do want in your life, you need to make room for it. What obligations do you have that create more stress than joy? Decide what you can let go of in order to plug in the activities you enjoy. Decide if you need to get rid of the obligations all together or delegate them to someone else.

3. Create support structure

In order to succeed, you need a supportive environment. Make sure your significant other and/or friends know what you need from them. Having a support team will make a world of difference in your long term outcome.

Have a great week!
