Canadian Military Ramps Up Unmanned Aerial Vehicle UAV Roadmap

The Canadian Military although a very small military for such a large country is looking more and more at using UAVs to protect themselves in the present period. We have been seeing a lot in the Public Domain and media on the UAV ramp-up in Canada. Some of this is coming from Defense Contractor Press Releases and in the Defense Industry trade journals, websites and on the grape vine. We also see occasional stories in the mainstream media on these things and the future use of unmanned aerial vehicles for our Northern Neighbors.

The smaller markets like Canada and Zimbabwe, with similar size armies of 8,000 or so offer a chance for smaller UAV companies to compete; smaller markets may mean less competition too. But we have also seen some larger companies submitting bids to help the Canadians with their UAV roadmap from many companies, such as Australia, Israel, UK, France and the United States. The Canadian Military rather fancies a couple of the Israeli UAV models.
