So nice of Mother Nature to join us for the 2006 New Years Season as Tropical Storm Zeta inches her way towards Hurricane Statues. The 2005 Hurricane Season was the most violent on record. It was also the longest, as it started two weeks early and was held over for an extra week by Hurricane Epsilon to end on December 6.

This latest storm is rather intriguing to scientists, climatologists and meteorologist researchers, as this late in the year this is unheard of. If Zeta makes Hurricane status it could end up the first Hurricane of 2006 or if it continues for the next two days it will be the first Atlantic Tropical Storm of 2006.
