2006 Where Will The Big Hurricanes Hit?

The last major Hurricane to hit Florida in the 2005 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season was the ominous Hurricane Wilma, which in its early beginnings was able to strengthen to the most powerful Hurricane in the History of Atlantic Tropical Hurricane recording. In 2004 we saw Florida hit by 5 Hurricanes in a crisscross section and they came ashore at several different places and continued thru the center of Florida.

So is the center of Florida safer? Sure from a wind perspective, but not necessarily from a flooding perspective. Most humans killed in Hurricane die from drowning in floodwaters and not from the actual wind. So that is something to think about. If you live in the center of Florida lets say Orlando. You would hope to be on a piece of land perhaps a little higher with excellent run-off flood control.

Unfortunately so many live in manufactured homes and if we get the kind of winds which are expected by the Global Warming Alarmists then these folks really do not have a chance. Meaning they either flee 4-5 times a year to get out of dodge or risk biting the big one if things get serious and in a Hurricane, things can always get real serious really fast. So be careful please and think on this in 2006.
