Viagra Doing Wonders For Some Women

Viagra is known to have done wonders for men suffering from Erectile Dysfunction. But a recent study throws light on the impact of Viagra on women in their postmenopausal phase.

A group specializing in sexual functionality, conducted the study, where postmenopausal females were diagnosed for female sexual arousal disorder (FSAD). The disorder is defined as the inability of a woman to have sexual arousal.

The women were divided into two groups; the first group was given Viagra and the other got placebo pills. Most of the women who got the placebo, reported arousal in the genitals but the effect was far more common and prevalent in women who consumed Viagra.

Women these days are using Viagra and they have registered their satisfaction over the drug. Although Viagra is approved by Food and Drug Administration for use in men, doctors are allowed to prescribe the drug to anyone irrespective of sex. Women patients have taken the drug prescribed by the doctors and it has done pretty well among those in postmenopausal phase.

However, measuring the effectiveness of Viagra in women is comparatively difficult as compared to men. In men, the sole criterion of testing the efficacy of Viagra is the ability to have an erection. But the complexities increase in women, where major factors - such as proper lubrication, blood flow - need to be ascertained before coming to any conclusion about the effectiveness of Viagra.
