A Guideline For New Internet Marketers

So you've decided to become an internet marketer and get a piece of the projected $30 billion industry. As easy as internet marketing might seem, it is a long and tedious process that most marketers lose themselves in. I know, I've been there. People spend thousands of dollars and countless sleepless nights trying to hit the right keywords on search engines, drive traffic to their websites, and make sales. According to some, 97% of internet marketers give up and surrender after losing money, patience, and confidence. It does not have to be so.

I've spent a lot of money promoting single affiliate programs on Google AdWords and by buying traffic through websites that promise you tens of thousands of unique clicks. Oh, I got the clicks. The stats page on my affiliate site was hitting hundreds a day but that still resulted in NO SALES. How frustrating. So, here I was, spending $50 a day on buying traffic, another $50 on Google AdWords, and another $20 on cigarettes to calm my nerves. I was in the hole and there was no light at the end of the tunnel.

Here's my advice. The best way to make money on the internet is to promote either your own product or set up a website where you can sell what you want and post what you want. Promote that. This way, you're exposing you're visitor to many promotions that you have tried and handpicked or you sell your own unique product. First things first, you should set up a website through one of the many web hosting sites on the internet. You can find your own or you can look at some of them here. Once you pick the one that you like, follow the instructions and you will be successful. Second, drive traffic to your website. The best way to do this is submit your site to as many search engines as possible.

Once you have done that, purchase an ad submitter that posts your ad to thousands of Ezine sites, FFA pages, and sends many of them out to opt in email addresses. I have compiled a list of several of the best ones here. If you do pick one, do your research and select the best one for you. If you have a great product that you want to sell, make sure that your site accepts credit cards. The best way to do this is either through PayPal or Stormpay. If you decide to promote affiliate sites, make sure that you pick some programs that offer a two tier payment plan. This means that any affiliate that you refer directly to the seller, earns you a small commission. I have compiled a small list of such programs here. If you want to find your own, check out PayDotCom.com or ClickBank.

The best advice I can give you is be persistent and do your research. There is no fast money on the internet and anyone that does tell you that is lying. However, if you do find a way to make fast cash, let me know. I hope this gets you on the right track to making money. Cheers!

I do not guarantee income by using my methods. The statements made above are merely suggestions that have worked for me. Research is necessary. Any loss of money is not the responsibility of the author.
