Before you get too far into your online search, make a list or write a description of what you need and want for your luggage. Having some specifics in mind will help you in a few ways.

First of all, if you've identified fairly specifically what you want, you'll be better able to recognize a good match when you see it. Also, you can be more focused as you peruse the vast web. And finally, if you know what you're after, you're much less likely to buy on impulse something that you don't really need or want.
