Los Angeles Dodgers Handicapping: 2006 Season Preview

It is hard to decipher how the 2006 Baseball Season will go for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Two years ago this team made the playoffs but faced the National League juggernaut Cardinals in their way. They had a smoking 93-68 ( +19 units) season that year. The 2005 season was the complete opposite as they posted a 71-90 (-24.3 units) record.

I know the 2006 team will be very similar to the 2005 team but last year's horrendous record may give value to their money line odds this season. The Dodgers were equally bad against lefties and righties last season. Surprisingly, I saw that they were just bleak on the road against right handed pitching. Betting against them would have won you 13 units in 62 games.

You expect a young team like the Dodgers to struggle on the road, they did last year. It will probably still be to your benefit to look to bet against these Dodgers on the road in the 2006 Baseball season. Pitching is irrelevant as they have proven that they cannot hit either last year. I would be weary of the possibility that the odds are devalued with these Dodgers so check on that.

Good luck betting against the Dodgers in 2006.
