Inexpensive Craft Time For Your Children

As a parent you probably know how important craft time is to both you and your children- it usually means breaking up the monotony of the day. To children, craft time means expressing their creativity, and just plain having fun. But to many parents, doing a new craft project each day can become expensive. It is expensive if you don't know where to go to find your craft supplies.

Overspending on crafts doesn't have to be the case. If you're a parent who enjoys craft time with your kids then your new favorite store could be your local dollar store. For under fifteen dollars you can easily get a tub full of craft supplies that your kids will go nuts over. Examples of craft supplies you can more than likely find at a dollar store are: glue sticks, paint, paper, stickers, pipe cleaners, pom poms, sticky-backed magnets, foam cut-outs, glitter, stamps and stamp pads, crayons, markers, beads, and design scissors.

Not only that, but dollar stores also carry a large variety of coloring books to keep your kids busy. Find a plastic tub to keep all your kids craft supplies in, then when it's time to do a craft project just pull out the tub. You could even have your kids decorate their craft tub with stickers they choose. You don't have to give your child the whole tub of supplies, take out a few different items then let your child have fun and be creative. You can also get out pictures of your kids and other family members that may be a little fuzzy, or a picture you have a double of and let your kids use these in their craft time.

The main point is that a fun and new craft project doesn't have to be expensive. Replenish your craft tub regularly and you'll never be out of supplies for your kids to create with.
