Every few days we hear of stories in the media where gunmen open fire on innocent people, cutting them down in cold blood. They usually go something like this; Gunmen opened fire on a truck convoy delivering building materials to rebuild Iraq, four Iraqi truck drivers were killed.

You know personally I have a problem with this because indeed that headline and first sentence in a World Media article is correct but the words used are all wrong. In using these types of words we in fact lessen the severity of the situation and seem to almost condone it, like it was an accident and accidents happen. Gunmen of course means
