Feeling Spiritually Present; The Difference Between Life & Death

Many of you, I'm sure, have had momentary or extended periods of what some call "feeling present". Although it is a desirable experience have you ever stopped to reflect on the significance of this state? If you do you'll challenge many of your beliefs about the nature of spiritual enlightenment. Let me explain.

If you cultivate this state through whatever means i.e. yoga, meditation, self awareness, etc. you will experience along with it some or all of the following: feelings of lightness and radiance, warmth, inner peace and calm, joyfulness and contentment, great resilience, feelings of wholeness and fullness, feelings of expansiveness, self confidence and self esteem, love, an inner knowing and possibly enhanced intuitive abilities

What's more you will feel healthier, like you've reclaimed vast amounts of vital life energy and you'll feel more fully present in you physical body. You will I'm sure find this to be not only a desirable state but your preferred state of being.

So what does it mean to be fully present in one's body? Well it means the following:

1. Your entire spiritual self/energy is in you body.

2. Your entire vital life force/energy is in your body.

3. Your spiritual self and your physical self are fully integrated as one.

4. Your entire life force/energy is supporting your body.

5. That the duality that you think of as spirit/body appears to disappear experientially for you. That is one can make no clear "feeling" distinction between the two.

It is my view that when this occurs that you have achieved what I would call enlightenment. I would also like to say that few ever achieve this here in this reality for one good reason.

What is that reason, you ask?

Well it's what I alluded to earlier the widely held belief that there is in fact a spirit/body duality!

You see the idea of such a duality has led many to promulgate the idea that the physical body is "a shell" or "a vehicle" for the spirit and that it therefore is dispensable.

When one buys into such a belief it maintains the duality and therefore blocks the state I described above from fully manifesting itself. Where does this leave you? Well in a state of fragmentation!

It is this fragmentation that in my view is responsible for illness, aging and death itself. That is because the entire function of what you call your vital life force/energy is to sustain the physical body in a healthy and immortal state.

Of course there is no one you can name who has been able to achieve physical immortality is there? The reason for that is everyone to date has bought into this duality of spirit/body.

Why is this the case?

Well it pertains to the amount of emotional and physical pain that becomes stored in the mind/body as a result of what many call their cumulative life experience. Whenever an individual experiences some form of emotional or physical trauma it becomes stored as a "toxic" and "painful fragment
