We got to take an active role in our children's education. It really doesn't take much. We're tired as working parents but taking a part in our children's education pays huge dividends! If my children are failures when they leave my home and my house of rules, it will be totally their fault because I know that I've lain the foundation for success!

I am an ordinary mother with extraordinary dreams - like most of you - of where I want to see my 2 sons 5 years, 10 years and even 20 years from now.

Read each and every day to your child and began when they are fresh from the womb! Talk to them A LOT...not baby talk, but as if you were talking to a child with lots of intelligence because our kids ARE intelligent! If they can learn negative things, they can surely learn positive things. Focus your child towards positive things. Make them read EVERY DAY WITHOUT FAIL! If they can't read, then read to them EVERY DAY WITHOUT FAIL!

My suggestions is start small. Always invest in inexpensive toys that are what I call "learning toys". Buy them books to read. Take them to the library if you can't afford books for them to read.

Being a licensee of children's personalized books, I have seen first hand the excitement that children have when they see their names written in the storyline of a book! Nothing short of AWESOME!! They will not put the book down! They will take it to bed with them, to friends homes, to church, to school...EVERYWHERE! Just ask some of my customers!
