Handling Life's Stress

It is true there will be times when you wonder what the heck is going on. Stress will set up a fortress on all sides of you. The enemy will be encamped around you smiling from ear to ear. And your next question is what do I do now?

Even though trials come to make us stronger it is a fact they are uncomfortable and often place us in strange lands. Strange lands are places we have yet been or experiences we have yet experienced. Personally, I am finding strange places do not always have to be negative.

Positive, enriching, joyous blessings from God can leave you in a strange place with no less amount of stress. Getting a promotion on your job or ministering in a new area in church can often place you on edge just as quick as a problem in your life. However, whatever your situation, when you encounter a strange place go to God for guidance. Tap in to the Holy Spirit. He will never let you down.

Like Nehemiah, God will show you exactly how to build your area with a tool in one hand and a weapon in the other. He will show you how to strengthen your work with the tool and protect yourself with the weapon. Multitasking will take on a whole new meaning. You will have moans and groans, aches and pains, yet in your faithfulness to God, He will see you through your strange place. Or, He will show you how to make your strange place home.

Do not be weary, sister and brother. Count yourself joyful in whatever strange places you find yourself. God will never leave you or forsake you. Lean in to the strength of the Lord.
