Ah, yes. Slap up a website, then sit back and let the money roll in. Wouldn't it be great?

It's doable. There are lots of online entrepreneurs who have put up websites containing Google AdSense links, and started making thousands of dollars a month in highly competitive keyword niches.

So why aren't you a billionaire yet? If it really were that easy for most people, we'd all have private jets and fly to our island homes.

Completely passive income means you do literally nothing beyond the initial effort to set up an income stream. That's quite rare. Even with an AdSense-driven site, you have to work to get it noticed, drive traffic to it, etc.

You can get very close to passive, though, with affiliate sales. All you need to do is build a list, then sell periodically to that list. Writing an email takes about five minutes.

Resale rights sometimes offer an even better alternative. If you've been looking for how to produce passive income successfully, resale rights may be your answer.

Most of the time, you actually can produce a double income stream with resale rights. One stream is from the product you sell (the thing you bought resale rights to). The other is from affiliate sales from links within the product, which you often are allowed to replace with your own affiliate links.

It might not be as simple as slapping up a website, then going to buy your yacht, but it sure can put you on the road to wealth.
