I find our education system to be lacking when it comes to preparing our children for the real world. My own high school taught Geometry, Calculus, and even Molecular Biology but failed to address the topic every single person must go through as a child and moreso as an adult -- money management. Why? What is the point of learning all these advanced courses? Is it not to earn money and support yourself? But what happens after you have the money to support yourself?

In some cases, there are people who have learned how to manage their money wisely. Some chooses to clip coupons, buy more food cheaply, and pay their credit card bills in full each month. However, there are also people who cannot get out debt. Some of these people are people who have won millions in lottery but are now broke. Whether you make a few thousand dollars or suddenly win millions of dollars, the basics of preserving and creating wealth will apply to you. I do not want you to become one of the protagonists in the sad-but-true tales of falling victim to the poor management of money and debt.
