A Heartfelt Prayer Of God's Promises And Principles From Proverbs 13

Thank you, Lord, for helping me to say the right words. When they come out of my mouth they produce good fruit in my life. Remove me from an argumentative or evil vocabulary. Show me today when to keep my mouth shut and how to control my tongue. Keep me from verbally reacting to others. Thank you that when I do this, You will keep my life and remove destruction from me.

Remove slothfulness and laziness from my life today, Lord. Don't let mediocrity rule my life. Today I choose to be a diligent person, working hard and showing increase in my life. Thank you for promising to prosper me when I live my life rich in this way.

I want to be a righteous person the rest of my life. I decide today to hate lies and inaccuracies. Keep me from being evil and harming myself by my own wickedness. Remove pride from my life today because it only leads to arguments, strife and contention.

Lord, in what areas of my life does pride have a grip on me? Please show me. Help me to be humble and receive good counsel this week so I will become wiser and gain wisdom.

Keep me from situations that indefinitely postpone what I'm hoping for because it makes my heart sick. Let me understand today that there is no greater reward than to hold fast and true to Your will and Your Word. I choose to never disregard or reject Your Word and become destroyed. Instead, I will fear Your commandments, obey them and succeed.

Today, I will actively pursue and receive the advice of wise people. As I do, it will refresh me and become a fountain of life to me, keeping me aware and away from pitfalls and problems that lie ahead.
