Dig For Diamonds, Don't Chase Butterflies

One of the devil's primary strategies to hinder our momentum is to use distractions to keep us from being focused on the plan that God has for us. Determine what you really want and what God has for you. This will keep you from chasing butterflies and put you to work digging for diamonds.

Pay more attention to the things working positively in your life than to the things giving you trouble. Too many times people devote the majority of their effort, time and attention to those things that are never going to be productive in their lives.

Clear your mind of the things that are out of your control in order to focus on and act upon your goals of the day. You'll always get lost by trying to find an alternate route for the straight and narrow.

The words of others will be one of the primary distractions that will try to hinder you. Do just once what others say you can't do and you will never pay attention to their limitations again.

When you let yourself be distracted by the fear and doubt that others want to bring in your life, you will have a quick ear for bad news and large eyes for trouble ahead. You'll be a great inventor of things that will never happen.

Concentrate on one thing at a time and rule out all influences that don't have bearing on the task at hand. Within your concentration the rest of the world cannot distract you.
