Record Your Own Music withTotally Free Software

Everyone loves a good bargain. And the best bargain of all is absolutely free. There is nothing better than getting something useful for free. I've made it my personal quest to always be on the lookout for these type items. And wouldn't you know it, I have one to share with you today.

Ever hear of the Garage Band, Cakewalk, or Music Maker? These are the popular programs in recording software. It's like having your own recording studio all wrapped up and squeezed inside your computer. They do just about everything that you could need to record music and audio. You can be on your way to music producer of the year with just few clicks of a button.

Just like you might have guessed, these programs are not cheap. They run anywhere from $40 to $100. The price varies depending on where you buy it. But no matter where you buy it, the cost is a whole lot more than free. Now don't get me wrong, these are great software programs and worth the money. But some of us just don't have the money to spend. Not being able to afford high priced software should not condemn us from its use.

There is a program that is similar in design and usage as these popular programs. It is called Audacity. It costs you absolutely nothing to download and install. You can do virtually everything the other programs do on a small scale. It is great for a beginner getting started and wanting to test out software to see if it's right for them.

Audacity is a sound recording and editing software that comes with multiple tracks and lots of good effects. You can do all sorts of things to enhance the sound of your recording. With this software, you are basically your own studio. You can do all the things that the pros do like mixing and cutting tracks. You can download Audacity from http://audacity.sourceforge.net. Click on the download tab and choose either Windows or Mac OS 9 to link to download the Audacity 1.2.3 Installer. In a short time you can be on your way to your recording dreams!
