IT Industry More Top Heavy Than the HMOs

Well you really have to love the inefficiencies of large corporations in fact I have noticed huge inefficiencies in the IT sector. These inefficiencies rival the HMOs. It is no wonder that the United States military can seem to build a proper intranet system for the United States Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps.

It is not the military's fault or the procurement department of the United States military; you see the problem is in the private sector with an incredible top-heavy EDS. But, rather than picking on EDS, this is a problem throughout the IT sector. Sure, it is great to have all these people employed however inefficiency is un-American it spits in the face of a capitalistic free market system.

You should look at some of the business cards and titles of all these people. One or two people in 20 will be programmers and all the rest are project managers, strategic consultants and systems managers. To tell you the truth, I bet there are more IT lobbyists for companies selling computer consulting contracts and specialized software to United States government than the programmers who actually do all the work. What a silly waste of money, it is like throwing money down the toilet.

I have read GAO reports and reports from the O.M.D., which discuss all the programs in project, which are delayed in government IT contracts. Everything from net-centric Systems for the U.S. military to the virtual case file system for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the United States Justice Department. I surely wish someone would look into this stop wasting U.S. taxpayer
