I barely remember his face
I barely remember his smile
He went to chase the American Dream
I barely remember his ways
I barely remember those days
He packed his bags and went away
I barely remember his voice
I barely remember the noise
The day we celebrated his stay
I barely remember the chaos
I barely remember the anxiety
On his visit he sang all day
Now I remember everything
I remember his gentle face
I remember his booming voice
Now I remember everything
I remember his funny ways
I remember those funny days
We got the bad news,to our surprise
Now he went away, not to return
I will remember everything
About the Author: I've been writing poems and short stories since I was a kid. In college I was a literary writer for our school's Lit Folio I consider myself an expressionist rather than an impressionist I write about all sorts of things. It be could something as serious as death, pain and fears or something as light as a funny story or my fave TV prog or office bloopers. I hope other people would like what I write.
