Autism Philosophy to Consider

You know it seems as if we treat autistic children in school, as almost second-class citizens. Yet I wonder if this is merely because the school system is trying to attempt to teach them incorrectly. Have you ever considered this topic and how we approach the teaching of Autistic Children?

Perhaps these kids can do more with their brains than we may know, after all where do they go when they are just sitting there in their minds, we know they are not stupid, far from it usually. You know you can call me insane but in my experience it appears to me that they seem to be able to communicate better with only thought. It seems you can talk to them without speaking sometimes and send them messages and they pick them up and then you can watch them smile. So, although science does not address this, it has been my observation, of course you cannot say that in public because people think you are crazy? Indeed I cannot believe I actually wrote it down for you here in this article.

Therefore perhaps the cure is not in fixing them, but rather fixing all of us and making room for their unique qualities you see? Who knows, for all we know the Autistic Children could be part of a trend or future paradigm shift in brain evolution? That maybe tough for people to swallow as they look at a self absorbed human child sitting in the corner, as people wonder why don't they communicate and play like the other kids, yet it maybe wise to understand this. I hold short on calling autism a disease although some people do, I wonder really if that is a big mistake and merely showing our ignorance to the situation. It appears to me we need to be more cognizant of our neurotypical children and perhaps this philosophical discussion might be of interest to you? Consider this in 2006.
