If you start an auto detailing Company at first it's just you and its very easy to keep up the quality and maintain the customer support, but as you hire more and more people to help you it becomes an issue of management and you have to keep a close eye on all your helpers and workers.

Some auto detailing companies pay their auto detailing technicians by commission on each vehicle they detail and others pay them by the hour. If you pay them by the hour you have to make sure they're working at all times otherwise you'll lose money. If you pay them a commission for each vehicle they clean and detail, then you have to make sure they're doing quality work and not rushing through just to get to their next car to make the next commission.

One thing I have found with auto detailing technicians is that the ones who are qualified and very good at the trade are like artists and they have an ego to match. If you start an auto detailing company you will have to deal with this and it is something to consider in 2006.
