Hurricanes and Soccer Training Problems

Hurricanes can often hurt your soccer training and prevent you from keeping your skills crisp in order to be successful in the game. If you are in a hurricane and you failed to listen to the mandatory evacuation then perhaps you can figure out a way to do your soccer training inside.

For instance you can practice ball control in your garage by practicing aerial dribbling, which is keeping the ball from touching the ground. This is a good skill to learn for soccer because it helps with trapping the ball and controlling the ball during competition.

Generally after hurricanes that are of large categories the power from the power company might be off for three to four weeks and therefore the soccer field lighting will be unavailable. Also consider that many soccer fields are flooded after many large category hurricanes and these two problems prevent you from playing soccer or practicing.

Hurricanes and soccer training can cause problems. One thing that is important to soccer training is your endurance and even if you are stuck in your home during a hurricane you can practice isometric exercises and cardiovascular type workout to keep your body in shape for when the weather clears and the soccer fields are open again. Perhaps you will consider all this in 2006 and not let hurricanes ruin your soccer training.
