One Minute Power

A minute in our culture has seemingly taken on the same devalued status as the humble penny. What is it worth? Why not just throw it away?

Because our minutes well-used add up to hours, hours add up to days, days to months, and months to lifetimes. What's the use of a minute? Think about it. How many little tasks that would take a minute or less do we put off until we "have the time?" In a minute you can...

--Drink a glass of water
 --Take your vitamins
 --File several pieces of paper
--Throw out more pieces of paper
 --Pay a bill on line
--Put a book back on the shelf
 --Return a phone call
 --Take a minute relaxation break
 --Pay someone a compliment
 --Write a short thank-you note
--Do 10 push ups or sit ups
 --Breathe deeply and stretch
 --Send someone a positive thought
 --Read something inspirational

I bet you can add to the list. And next time you have a minute or two, instead of wishing you were somewhere else, or twiddling your thumbs waiting for whatever is next on your schedule, consult your list. Who knows, in a minute you might be able to do two or three things on the list. Begin to master your minutes and watch how productive and positive your hours, days, weeks and months become. Your minute starts now. What will you do?
