Hurricanes and Anger Management

There are many psychological emotions, which go through the minds of humans who have lost everything. During the 2005 Atlantic tropical hurricane season we saw entire cities in regions along our coastline on the Gulf Coast, which were completely devastated and destroyed.

Houses were leveled like a nuclear bomb went off, but it was the storm surge, which knocked down all those houses. When the people returned there was nothing left of the area and they had lost literally everything. Those that stayed even lost their lives.

Of course when this happens there is depression, anxiety and stress. Then there is anger and for some of this is an anger of god or Mother Nature. When someone loses everything and they have nothing to live for and often they are angry at the world and they take it out on their loved ones and those who are there to help.

They are anger often turns towards the authorities, first responders, volunteers and even the government. How could they let something like this happen? Actually they had nothing to do with it did they? Of course not, but the anger that is generated is usually pointed toward something or somebody and this is where anger management can help.

Psychologists and those who wish to help the Gulf Coast residents return to a normal state of mental health have volunteered to work with the victims of the catastrophic hurricanes which hit during the 2005 record-breaking Atlantic tropical hurricane season. Please consider this in 2006, as it might happen again.
