If given a choice many people would prefer to work out of their home than in corporate America. Unfortunately generally if you work out of your house you are an independent contractor or a consultant home business and you will not have the benefits that you would if you worked at a large corporation. However there is quite a bit of freedom would you work out of your home.

Some people say there is too much freedom and it is hard to stay motivated to work each day when there are so many distractions from your family or the television set. Running a home-based business is not easy, but it is not very hard to set up. Simply get an extra desk and move your office into one of the rooms and you are ready to go.

However remember that no one is watching you and if you are not a motivated and self-starter type then perhaps you will not get up till 10 AM in the morning and wish to quit before 1 PM. And some days this is possible however, if it becomes a habit your business probably will not be successful.

When people are younger they would prefer to work in corporate America around other people and after a while of climbing the corporate ladder you realize that the game is really not for you and this is why a lot of people choose a home-based business opportunity or decide to start their own business either on the Internet or as a consultant working out of their home. Perhaps you'll consider all this in 2006.
