Home Based Business and Earnings Claims

Have you ever listened to the radio and heard the ads for home-based businesses and people get on who supposedly are in the business and start giving testimonials about how much money they made in the home-based business and you can to? Well, some of these people who are purporting that they own the home-based business that they are promoting are actually shrills.

The Justice Department of the United States of America’s Federal Trade Commission’s consumer protection division is on to some of these scams and is also asking the American Advertising Association to help them pick out those ads, which are bogus and prevent them from playing and giving the information to the government so they can check up on them.

In many states you are not allowed to advertise on the radio, cable TV or place a classified ad without a bona fide number that says that you have registered your business opportunity or home-based business opportunity with the state registers office. These are a couple of things that the government is doing to prevent the scam artists from making false and misrepresentative earnings claims.

About the time that someone tells you that you can make $30,000 per month in your underwear stuffing envelopes part time is about the time that you do not want to send them your 500 bucks in the mail. Please consider this in 2006.
