Hurricanes and Time Management

One of the key essential parts of planning and preparing for a large catastrophic category hurricane, which may hit your area is to have excellent time management skills. There is a lot to do before or a large category hurricane strikes. You need to have a full tank of gasoline if you decide to leave and if you decide to stay you need to make sure the gasoline cans are filled up for your portable generator and then put them on high enough above ground that they are not flooded.

You need to stock up in advance and make the grocery list so you can survive three to four weeks if necessary and you will also need water because generally the water is out just like the power. During the 2005 Atlantic tropical hurricane season we saw that many large category hurricanes left regions of our nation without power for up to four to six weeks.

There will be plenty of time to think about all the things you forgot later when the power is out and there is no television. But if you are to properly planning for a large category hurricane you must have good time management skills because time of the essence and if you are smart you will start today.

Each day is filled with activities that must be done; there are errands to run, lists to fulfill and things to do. You should start today and get a jump on it and use your time management skills to get everything in place so you are ready for the 2006 Atlantic tropical hurricane season.
