It is the attitude that since I now know all there is to know, you could not possibly add to my knowledge and who do you think you are to try? It is not only experience that creates this attitude, it can be money, a badge, a uniform, a title. The whole attitude is one of fear and resentment. As though if you could contribute to my knowledge or understanding, I would have done all this for nothing. I would be a failure. This is not acceptable.

Prayer and blessing will do more to solve the problem than reason or argument. The person with the professional attitude does not seek advice and will not accept it. You might think professional attitudes are more prevalent among members of professions. You would be correct. That is where the professional attitude originated, but it is in danger of becoming universal as unwitting people think, if I had more confidence, I would be like that.
